Listening Exercise: Lithium by The Chemistry

Posted on December 8, 2013 by

adoptahighway was recently tapped by our friends at The Chemistry to contribute new music as part of a compilation release celebrating the online magazine’s 2nd year of circulation.

The release includes 24 tracks from a wide scope of musicians that Chemistry Magazine painstakingly selected based solely on the criteria that: “only dope music matters.” Chemistry Mag’s enthusiasm for the project stems from their desire to showcase both established as well as promising young talent they’ve had their eye on, and as diverse as the selection is, you’ll marvel at how cleverly each song flows into and compliments the next.

The compilation album, entitled LITHIUM, is available now both digitally, and as a limited edition cassette– but if you want the physical release, you’ll have to hurry: only 75 copies will be created.

Meilleurs voeux to Chemistry Mag– many happy returns!

I… I just–
/numbly signs an inverted cross before sinking to the floor whispering “thank you”:

“Defiantly original, darkly uplifting and utterly uncompromising, Lorn is the master of a form and a scene unto himself…”– Ninja Tune

Grant Maierhofer – The Persistence of Crows

“Maierhofer’s novel is about someone trying to grow up and reach their goals and the people they encounter along their way. However, it is much deeper than this too, dealing with the inner turmoil experienced by someone who yearns to write and find their way in the world. A fantastic read.”– Plastic Rosaries

adoptahighway – Black Umbrella Be Inside – IndieMusic Review

“Notre ami excelle pour nous mettre dans un état oscillant entre une folie parano et une euphorie malsaine, tant l’univers et sa musicalité tendent à brouiller tout repère sensoriel. Le pari est gagné.”– Frédéric Ekégué-Mvé

Sleetwalker – Shift

Lewis James – Midnight (feat Dolor)
